About the North East LEP

The North East Combined Authority is the accountable body for the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), a public, private, and education sector partnership that covers the same geographical area as the North East Combined Authority and the North of Tyne Combined Authority.

The North East LEP works with its partners to produce and deliverĀ  the Strategic Economic Plan (SEP), which is the principle strategic economic policy document for the North East. It sets out all of the activities that need to take place to improve our economy and aims to ensure that there is a strong evidence and analysis framework for economic progress in the region.
